We are beyond excited to congratulate Sam Bloom on her recent fourth World Para Surfing Championship.

Sam’s journey from her life-changing accident in 2013 to becoming a global parasports icon continues to inspire people worldwide.

Not only has she dominated the surf, but Sam is also a two-time Oceania KL1 paracanoe champion and has won titles across Australia and Hawaii.

Since her accident, Sam has dominated the world of para surfing, with multiple titles including the AASP Unassisted Prone Championship and victories across the ISA World Para Surfing Championships.

In addition to her sporting success, Sam’s tireless work as a global ambassador for spinal cord injury charities, including Wings For Life, and her role as an adventure traveler and advocate for adaptive sports, makes her a true inspiration.

Balancing her career as an athlete, public speaker, and mother of three, Sam’s resilience and strength shine through in everything she does.

From being named the Surfing Australia Female Para Surfer of the Year in 2022 to her continuous victories on the world stage, she has proven time and time again that adversity can be overcome with courage.

As Sam continues to break boundaries, we are honored to have her as a part of the Essential Speakers family.
