Marion “Maz” Farrelly is an award-winning television producer turned international keynote speaker. She has spent three decades making some of the biggest shows on television, including Big Brother, The X Factor, Dancing With The Stars, The Celebrity Apprentice and The Farmer Wants A Wife, and is co-creator of the ABC’s Q&A. Who is Maz Farrelly?
Maz began her career as a magazine journalist and stylist in London before moving into television, where she has worked across the UK, Australia and the US. She has held senior roles including Executive Editor of Format Entertainment at the BBC in London, Director of Television Content at Fremantle Media Australia, and Creative Strategist for BBC Worldwide. She was also Executive Producer of Megastar, an online talent show based in San Francisco.
Her shows include five series of Big Brother across the UK and Australia, The X Factor, The Celebrity Apprentice, Dancing With The Stars, The Farmer Wants A Wife and The AFL Recruit. She was one of the creators of the ABC’s long-running Q&A. Her work has been recognised with awards including BAFTAs, Logies, ASTRAs, Royal Television Society Awards and a Bronze Rose de Montreux. Her content has been watched more than eight billion times, and she has produced everyone from Beyoncé to King Charles.
Maz now runs Absolutely Farrelly, a creative content, training and strategy business. She works with individuals and organisations to make their message impossible to ignore, built on her belief that all business is show business.
